The SU Media Awards
The Students Union have just announced the new Media Awards and there are a bunch of Radio Categories within it. Full details can be found HERE.
I really expect to see everyone putting in an entry. This isn’t difficult people and Russel has explained how to get your old shows off the Archiver etc.
Good luck and remember - the deadline for Radio entries has been extended to 30th May at Midday!

New website for Queen’s Radio
The new Queen’s Radio website is go! Albeit an early iteration, you can now tune in online using the beta version of our online player, email the studio directly from the sidebar and also check out the webcam. We also have basic schedule information up, as well as details on how to get involved and contact us.
We’ll also be using the blog on the main page to talk about whats going on with the station, upcoming events, studio guests and exclusive interviews and content, as well as the exciting changes going on as Queen’s Radio continues to grow!
Features on the way include profile pages for presenters, show profile pages detailing specific shows, listen again features and detailed information on our podcasts, a brand new interactive online player and online news articles produced by our news team. All that - and more - but for now, enjoy the slightly more feature-full Queen’s Radio website as you eagerly await the final version!
Glory Days
Time flies when you’re presenting radio. It’s been over a year since we were visited by Phill Jupitus and his 6Music Breakfast Show, and what a better way to launch our new website - and this new blog - than with a reminder of that! It was a particularly early morning for most of us, but we still managed to snap a few photos, which you can find in our Flickr pool.
