Hey everyone and welcome to the new Queens Radio website!!!

And doesnt it look pretty :). Not only that though, we are also hoping that it will be able to offer even more interactivity and functions to presenters and listeners. We are of course keeping the online listening tool, the forum links and contact pages so you lovely students out there can listen and get involved as easily as before. Also hopefully on the horizon is a live scheduler and presenter specific information and comments as they play. Like the BBC mixed with Facebook, only better!

As you can see though getting these wonderful gadgets up and running is a work in progress, but dont worry, we will get it all like clockwork as soon as we can. Until then check out the forum for the latest news, comments and happenings.

Climate Change!

Hi everyone,

just wanted to announce that Queens Radio will be playing an audio version of the banned Sammy Wilson Climate Change ad throughout the day of this Monday (16th Feb). We at the station feel that the message is important and refuse to be censored by the ignorance of one NI politician. It has been intimated that the Students Union executive will also be distributing the poster version of the ad as a sign of further protest over the issue.

It is important that students at Queens show their distaste at the statements and actions of Mr Wilson on this important issue and we would encourage anyone who is available to tune in to the station (1134MW if you live in Elms or here at www.queensradio.org for the internet stream) to show their support.

Furthermore, our Station Manager (Matthew Hazley) will be guesting on the Nolan show on Friday the 13th Feb at 9.20am to give his views on the issue and we would strongly advise people to listen, text and email the show to show support.
